All things considered, yesterday was a pretty darn good day for Longhorn fans. Xavier Worthy scored the first two touchdowns ever by a Longhorn in a Super Bowl, while also leading all receivers in catches (8) and yardage (157). Granted, it was in a losing effort. But the performance cements Worthy as a fixture in KC's future. From game 10 on, Worthy became the Chief's go-to weapon on offense. Then there's the Longhorn women's basketball team. A top five matchup takes place at the Disch this weekend, as No. 3 Texas hosts No. 4 Georgia beginning today (weather permitting). The Longhorns came out of last weekend's series banged up, with Rylan Galvan, Max Belyeu and Adrian Rodriguez all being injured. Here's the latest on all three. Rylan Galvan - A gametime decision it sounds like, but out of the three, he will be the most likely to play. I'm told that Galvan has been practicing and he DH'd on Tuesday. Texas (40-10, 20-7 SEC) will wrap up the regular season in Norman against Oklahoma (32-17, 13-14) in a three-game series beginning Thursday. Here are a few things to file away: — Max Belyeu had a good day yesterday and, according to Schloss, he's closer to returning than last week. It sounds like a lot will depend on how Belyeu handles batting practice when the team gets to Norman later today.
