TCU transfer defensive lineman Damonic Williams has announced his commitment to Oklahoma. Williams had a final four of Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and LSU and visited all four prior to making his decision Thursday evening. Williams’ final visit was wrapped Wednesday afternoon in Baton Rouge, and the Longhorns got one final crack with him late Wednesday evening. It's been a few hours since we gave you all an update... Here's where things stand as of roughly 30 minutes ago. Oklahoma, Missouri, LSU and Texas all remain in contact with Williams' representatives today. A Williams rep met with OU earlier today. We are told nothing was finalized at that meeting. Likewise, a Texas coach met with Williams himself last night and Williams finished his official visit to LSU yesterday. Texas will host San Jose State cornerback Jayvion Cole for a visit beginning around noon this afternoon. Cole will remain on campus for his visit with Texas through Saturday as the staff presents its best pitch to the All-Mountain West honorable mention in 2023. The Longhorns are looking to add to the cornerback room following the portal departures of Terrance Brooks and Austin Jordan earlier in the portal window. According to PFF, Cole allowed 22 receptions in 48 targets for a 45.8% completion percentage against. PFF awarded Cole an 84.0 grade in coverage and a 86.2 grade overall defensively. Kendrick Blackshire, a linebacker originally from Duncanville by way of Alabama, is the only player to officially put their name in the portal. Arizona cornerback Tacario Davis has decided to withdraw his name from the transfer portal. Davis had spoken with Texas, as well as several other schools, after previously entering his name in the portal. Davis led the PAC-12 in PBUs last year with 15.

The result of the visit was Wynn, 6-2 and 315, locking in an official visit to Texas June 14-16. Wynn has OV’s scheduled to Georgia May 31-June 2, South Carolina June 7-9, Texas June 14-16 and Florida State June 21-23. Florida State and Alabama are considered the top two headed into the official visit process.

Texas will host San Jose State CB Jayvion Cole for a visit Thursday he confirms with OTF. Cole tells me the trip to Austin will be his first visit since entering the portal Monday afternoon. Auburn is another team that is expected to receive a visit, though no date has been set at the moment. Cole also mentioned he is unsure if he will visit Michigan State, despite receiving an offer from the Spartans this morning. Cole saw 672 snaps last year for SJSU where he allowed 22 receptions on 48 targets for a 45.8% completion percentage. The Longhorns have extended an offer to 2026 OLB Kenneth Goodwin III out of Desert Pines, Nevada. Goodwin is the No. 3 ranked player in the state of Nevada for the class of 2026. At 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, Goodwin has plenty of frame to fill out before his college days as well. The offer was extended via coach Johnny Nansen who I expect to continue out west this weekend where he is quite familiar with the lay of the land in California, Arizona and Nevada. Today marks the last day any player, on any team, can enter the NCAA transfer portal. Football players must submit appropriate paperwork by 11:59pm tonight in order to be eligible elsewhere next season. The NCAA grants a 48-hour grace period for schools to enter a player's name into the portal. While we have heard of multiple Longhorn players contemplating such a move, we have not heard of any paperwork officially being filed, at least not as of yesterday afternoon.
