Two weeks ago, we mentioned that star wide receiver Ryan Wingo would be out for spring because of a hamstring injury. Last week, we learned that potential starting tight end Jordan Washington would be out for a while, a note which Steve Sarkisian confirmed at his press availability earlier today. Player of the Week accolades have been released from the SEC after week seven action and three Longhorns are receving notice. *** Colin Simmons Named the Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week. The Texas Longhorns are in search of a fourth straight top 5 ranked recruiting class. Houston area DL to visit for the Texas spring game Richmond (Texas) Randle 2025 defensive tackle Chace Sims made a visit to Texas April 6. It was the first visit to Texas since being offered for the 6-3, 285 pounder. Now the Houston area lineman tells OnTexasFootball he will make a return visit to Texas this weekend. Ahead of the 2024 Texas spring game, defensive lineman Zac Swanson has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. Swanson appeared in three games during his three years on campus as a Longhorn. The 6-foot-4, 282-pound defensive lineman out of Phoenix becomes the fifth Longhorn to enter the portal this spring. Texas is now at 84 scholarship players following Swanson's departure. On Saturday afternoon the Longhorns extended an offer to Brenham 2027 running back Jakoby Dixon. This past season Dixon rushed for 1,181 yards and 14 touchdowns on 133 carries (8.88 YPC). The Longhorns have extended an offer to 2026 OLB Kenneth Goodwin III out of Desert Pines, Nevada. Goodwin is the No. 3 ranked player in the state of Nevada for the class of 2026. At 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, Goodwin has plenty of frame to fill out before his college days as well. Greene County 4-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn had locked in an official visit to Texas June 14-16 following a school visit from Kenny Baker. Texas has extended an offer to 2026 Manoah Faupusa out of Los Alamitos, Calif. The 6-foot-3-inch and 300-pound defensive lineman now holds six offers after receiving USC, UNLV, San Jose State, Colorado and Arizona in the spring of 2023. Texas has taken no backseats to anyone in recruiting since Steve Sarkisian and his staff arrived in at the turn of the calendar in 2021. Coming from Alabama, where talent was basically like sand particles in a desert, to Texas where you essentially had to shake and tilt vending machines to get what you asked for originally, it was a bit of a shock for the staff. Milwee. Milwee was by Narbonne High in the last couple of weeks. O'Neal, 6-3 and 205 pounds, currently holds 27 offers.
