Watkins anchored the winning 4x1 team and won the 100m with a time of 10.19 seconds and the 200m with a time of 20.60 seconds. - Kade Phillips of Fort Bend Hightower, a major target of the Longhorns, medaled in the 6A long jump, finishing third with a leap of 23-11. - Dakorien Moore of Duncanville was perhaps the busiest guy in all of 6A. Seven new Longhorns will join the program in June The Texas Longhorns will welcome at least seven newcomers to the program the last few days of May and June 1. Steve Sarkisian and staff added a key piece to the 2024 team Sunday with the commitment of San Jose State transfer cornerback Jay'vion Cole. Phillips, 6-2 and 178 pounds, made an official visit to Baylor the last weekend of April. Top Texas targets begin June OV's with key trips Texas will not begin hosting official visitors until June 7-9 weekend, but that doesn't mean top targets for the Longhorns won't be making official visits around the country this weekend. The official visit for Mission Viejo (CA) cornerback Dijon Lee is still scheduled to happen he confirmed with me. Lee dropped a top four last week that did not include the Longhorns – Georgia, Alabama Texas A&M and Washington. However, the official visit for June 12–14 is a trip he still expects to make. Per the composite ranking, Lee is a five-star cornerback and a top-30 national player. It is worth mentioning that Lee is the only midweek official visit the Longhorns have planned for the month of June. Clark, 6-9, had a tremendous visit to Texas over the weekend. Clark's entire family made the tip from north of Houston. Emergency running back Velton Gardner? Out. The best walk-on Colin Page? Doubtful. Tre Wisner? Questionable.
