2026 Klein OL Nicolas Robertson Discusses Commitment Decision Texas picked up its fourth commitment in the 2026 class on Saturday after Klein OL Nicolas Robertson pulled the trigger and joined the class on his visit to Austin. The No. 1 ranked Longhorns play in Fayetteville tonight, which marks the beginning of yet another ranked SEC series for Texas. I spoke with a couple of sources this morning to get the latest. - Let’s start with OF Jonah Williams, who has been out the last week or so due to a hamstring injury. After an amazing start to conference play, Texas baseball has come back down to earth. The Longhorns have lost five of their last six conference contests by a combined run total of 42-17. Yet the Horns still have a two-game lead in conference. Texas needs to win two of three against Oklahoma this coming weekend to secure the regular season crown. More concerning is the post-season. Texas has looked like a shell of itself the last two weekends, striking out too often at the plate while the starting pitching has routinely lost its matchups. Temple EDGE Jamarion Carlton to OV at Texas June 6–8 The Longhorns will receive an official visit from one of the state’s top defensive linemen in Temple DL Jamarion Carlton. Carlton will head to Austin to see the Longhorns the weekend of June 6–8, which was previously slotted for SMU. June OV's: Defensive front takes center stage The Texas Longhorns currently have 54 official visitors scheduled for June. That number is not a final number with 5-star RB Derrek Cooper and 5-star LB Tyler Atkinson still expected to make OV's next month, while OTF expects 2-4 others to cancel. When looking at the current OV list, the defensive front stands out. There are 16 official visits currently locked in at defensive line and EDGE. Those 16 OV's come from the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, California, Virginia and New Jersey. Another OV this weekend locked in OnTexasFootball has learned that Petal (Miss.) High defensive lineman Corey Wells is scheduled to make an official visit to Texas this weekend. The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder made an OV to Ole Miss last weekend, and has June visits to Auburn and Mississippi State also on the docket. The Rebels are considered the favorite headed into the remainder of the official visits. Wells was on campus in Austin in the spring, and the returns on the visit were very positive as expected. Top-40 2026 DL Bryce Perry-Wright Returns to Texas for OV For the sixth time in his recruitment, Buford (Ga.) star Bryce Perry-Wright returned to campus for a look at the Texas Longhorns over the weekend. Texas up to 41 OV's with big OOS addition The Texas Longhorns are up to 41 official visitors locked in for June with the addition of 4-star+ defensive lineman Vodney Cleveland (Birmingham, Ala./Parker). Kenny Baker was in Birgimingham in January to see the 6-foot-3, 305-pounder. And Cleveland is expected to make a spring unofficial visit, along with the June OV. Boobie Feaster to Take OV to Texas this Summer 2026 DeSoto WR Boobie Feaster tells OnTexasFootball that he will take an official visit to Texas in June. Feaster was on campus Saturday for the Longhorn City Limits event on campus, taking in the third spring practice for the Longhorns. Originally, there had been no plans for an official visit in the summer, though that changed for Feaster following the visit. Right now, the specific weekend is still up in the air. Longhorns to Receive Another Visit from 2027 Waxahachie DB Texas hosted 2027 Waxahachie DB JayQuan Snell for a visit over the weekend. Snell was able to catch a Texas spring practice and meet up with the brand new secondary coaching staff for the first time. The Longhorns offered Snell back in April of 2024, though there was a brief period where contact had gone a bit dry. With the new coaching staff, that contact picked back up and Snell returned to campus for the Longhorn City Limits event. Following the Horns series clenching win over the Aggies on Saturday, I spoke with some sources regarding freshman Jonah Williams. Originally the plan was to play Williams this weekend, if he was ready. As of Friday morning, there was a good feeling he would be back against the Aggies. That changed later that day and we didn’t see Williams in the lineup yesterday or today. You won’t see him tomorrow either, I’m told. Williams tweaked his hamstring against Texas State and the staff is in no hurry to put him back out on the field until he’s good to go. Texas made a new scholarship offer to a class of 2026 prospect earlier today. Traeviss Stevenson of Brooks Co. High School in Quitman, Ga., was offered by Texas assistant Jeff Banks. Stevenson is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back who could play any of the three secondary positions (corner, safety or nickel). 2027 Antayvious Ellis updates recruitment, talks Chris Jackson and Texas Part of my tour throughout DFW last weekend was stopping by Crowley High School, home of one of the top 2027 wide receiver prospects in the state – Antayvious Ellis. The 2024 recruiting class with portal transfers added A member of the OnTexasFootball community made a post about what the 2024 recruiting class would look like with two 2024 recruits added that have transferred to Texas. Those two additions would be Freshman All-American Maraad Watson and freshman starter at Stanford Emmett Mosley V. The Texas 2024 recruiting class when signed was ranked No. 5 or 6 depending on the service.
