I feel like I'm starting to be a Trey Moore truther. The UTSA transfer has been one of the early standouts in camp. Yesterday, I asked Steve Sarkisian what makes Moore different than perhaps his other edge rushers. "He's twitchy," Sark said. "He has the unique ability to bend. He has an up and under move, a double move, he knows how to switch things up." Sark then described why Moore may be a little special. Sark said Moore knows how to set guys up, how one move earlier in a practice might give him an edge for a different move later in practice. Quarterback - Small, nuanced changes with Quinn Ewers. He's only built upon last year's conditioning improvements. Arch Manning and Trey Owens both have very strong arms and will be more than capable when their time comes. Running Back - The inclusion of Tre Wisner by Sark in yesterday's post-practice media availability was clearly deliberate. Wisner may not be no. 1 or 2 on the depth chart, but he has worked himself into a situation where Sark thinks he's going to contribute significantly to this team from the backfield. Kaliq Lockett: The Latest The Texas Longhorns are in a good spot for the OnTexasFootball 4-star++ wide receiver out of Sachse (Texas) High. Lockett, 6-2 and 170, and family have engaged in some very productive calls with Steve Sarkisian and Chris Jackson in the last week. OTF believes the Horns have a solid lead over Alabama with LSU, Texas A&M and FSU rounding out the list ahead of an August 7 announcement. Anding, 5-11 and 175 pounds, made an unofficial visit to LSU last weekend with his mom and two brothers. The same quartet that made two visits to Texas, including an official visit in June.
