Jeff Banks has extended an offer to 2026 tight end Camden Jensen Saturday morning. Jensen, a 6-foot-6-inch prospect out of Littleton, Colorado, currently holds 19 offers with Texas being the latest. He camped at Missouri Friday afternoon as well. The month of May was a busy one for Jensen, receiving offers from LSU, Florida State, Florida and Colorado all in the span of about a week. Jensen visited Nebraska at the end of April as well. If you missed the news yesterday, the NCAA appears set to create new scholarship limits for most major sports. Football is expected to move from 85 to 105 scholarships. Baseball will move up to 34. Men’s basketball looks like it will add two spots. Women’s softball gains 13 new spots and volleyball adds 6. So what does all this mean? The big story of this week: Who will be the Longhorn quarterback on Saturday? Is Quinn Ewers healthy enough to return to the starting role or will Arch Manning continue to learn on the job in Texas' first-ever tilt as an SEC member institution? Steve Sarkisian didn't really give us much of an answer on Monday. He said Quinn had returned to practice, but said he would list Quinn as "questionable", currently. Let's get to it. It was a heck of a second start for Arch Manning and the Longhorns end up with a 22-point victory. First Half Offense Texas had the shot gun and it was aimed right at its feet for the first half. It was rather remarkable how each drive stalled in a unique, yet frustrating fashion. Johntay Cook dropped an easy touchdown, Jaydon Blue fumbled right outside the red zone, DJ Campbell and Cole Hutson traded holding penalties. You can even add a partially blocked punt in there too. Tashard Choice visited a top RB target Friday Texas running backs coach Tashard Choice made a key stop in the Atlanta area Friday. Choice made his way to Sandy Creek High in Tyrone, Ga. to see 2026 4-star Amari Latimer. Latimer, 6-0 and 200 pounds, sports 25 offers to date including Texas. Choice offered the Peach State star January 25, 2024. Since that time, Latimer has been on campus, and spent time with the entire offensive staff. Texas remains No. 2 in the polls after taking the series from a very underrated Ole Miss team. I spoke with a source who felt this weekend would be a defining moment for this team. Texas had yet to have much adversity until Friday night happened and the response was exactly what the staff was hoping for.
