And so too is the production. He picked off four passes last year and returned three for TDs. He also had two touchdowns rushing and 144 yards on just two carries. Last night I was on a panel with three former Longhorn players - Tony Hills, Alex Okafor and Fozzy Whittaker - at the Dallas Texas Exes season kick-off event. Not only was it a great event, but as I was sitting up there, I started thinking about how uplifting it was to see all three of those men up there, years after playing for Texas, succeeding in life and talking positively about their experiences as Longhorns. The addition of Velton Gardner, the Dallas Skyline product who spent the previous five years shuffling between Kansas and SMU, gives you a picture of just how thin the RB room is right now. Texas SEC basketball schedule released: It's a doozy The Texas Longhorns football program received a favorable year one schedule. The basketball team did not. The SEC released the conference slate for the 2024-25 season Tuesday, and Rodney Terry and staff have a scheduled that includes nine opponents that are in Joe Lunardi's ESPN Bracketology from July 31. Texas plays two of those opponents (Texas A&M and Arkansas) twice as well. Texas begins SEC play with an extremely difficult five game stretch. The SEC opener is at Texas A&M January 4.
