Texas forward Declan Duru Jr. is entering the NCAA transfer portal, On Texas Football has learned. On3 first reported Duru set to enter. OTF's Gerry Hamilton has been reporting this is an expected development. Duru is the fourth known departure from Sean Miller’s program following the 2025-26 season, joining guard Simeon Wilcher and forwards Nic Codie and Cam Heide. The 6-foot-9-inch Duru played in 12 games for the Longhorns this past season, averaging 1.3 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. Texas signed 2026 edge Brinley Tita earlier this week to add another piece to its top 10-ranked class. But the Longhorns don't appear as though they're done bolstering the position group. Long Beach City College edge rusher Paul Kouame tells OTF he's currently en route to Austin for an official visit. The 6-foot-3, 242-pounder is coming off a freshman season with the Vikings where he totaled 34 tackles, including three tackles for a loss, and two sacks. Jeff published an OTF post-spring depth chart. I wanted to take a deeper look at how perceptions changed from prior to spring ball to today. We’ll start with the offense. Quarterback With Arch Manning sidelined most of spring, KJ Lacey was the lead engineer of the offense in scrimmage settings. Lacey proved a more than capable back-up. The real movement came down the depth chart. Texas had likely hoped that MJ Morris, the Coastal Carolina transfer, would do enough to be an unquestioned third stringer behind Manning and Lacey, allowing Dia Bell to redshirt no matter what. 2028 Five-Star DL Kellan Hall Reacts to Texas Camp + Offer *** One of the top players in the country for the 2028 class made his first visit to Austin on Sunday and left with an offer in hand, and some photos from a makeshift family reunion. Arch Manning committed to the Texas Longhorns. At 11:16 AM CT on Thursday June 23, 2022 to be exact. A lot of things have changed since then. Now it obviously isn’t just because of Manning, but the Longhorns have gone 33-13 in the four seasons that have passed since the commitment was made and Texas is 35-8 with Manning on the roster since 2023. TAMPA, Fla. — Four more teams took the podium on Tuesday from SEC Media Days, including South Carolina. The Gamecocks added former Texas running back Christian Clark to the roster this offseason after the Arizona native entered the transfer portal. Clark was used sparingly in 2025, coming off an Achilles tear ahead of his freshman season in 2024. Against Michigan in the Citrus Bowl, Clark shined as the lead back, carrying the ball 20 times for 105 yards and a touchdown.
