I arrived in Austin yesterday morning. And this place is humming. It feels like a big-game weekend here. From the airport at 8am, where I saw literally dozens of Georgia fans streaming off of a flight, to the downtown and the university areas, there’s just a buzz in the air. Kevin Wynn Visit Update Florida State commit and OnTexasFootball 4-star+ DL Kevin Wynn (Greensboro, Ga./Greene County) will not be making the visit to Texas this weekend per a source very close to the 6-2, 324-pound defensive tackle. Texas wants Wynn to make his next visit to Austin with his father, who was not able to make the June OV. That is not possible now this weekend, so Texas and Wynn are rescheduling. There is a tremendous emphasis on recruiting for this game in Austin, Texas on Saturday. I have had some time to decompress from the beatdown in Big D over the weekend that involved the Texas Longhorns returning with the Golden Hat. Ewers missed on throws that he doesn’t miss on and it was arguably the worst quarter of offensive football for a Ewers-led offense that we have seen during his career. Still, however, we saw good moments from the veteran signal caller. Almost every Texas football season I remember can be summed up into two parts. What happens before OU. And what happens after. That’s what this game so often means. It’s the ultimate measuring stick of both programs.
