What is ahead for the Offense in Spring Ball **** A little preview of the 2026 spring session for the offensive side of the ball for the Longhorns. Of course, Arch Manning will be recovering from surgery on his foot which left him in a boot for two months and LT Trevor Goosby will be slowly returning to form after offseason shoulder surgery as well. Texas Offers 2027 Gunter (TX) OL Caleb Siler *** Kyle Flood and the Texas staff extended an offer late Sunday evening up in the north DFW area. 6-foot-8-inch Gunter High OL Caleb Siler reported an offer from The University of Texas, the 29th of his recruitment. Siler originally visited the Longhorns on April 3rd and Texas circles back with an offer about five weeks after. In regards to an official visit, it appears likely. Dailyn Swain enters NBA Draft while maintaining eligibility Dailyn Swain announced he is entering the 2026 NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility, which would keep the door open for a potential return to Texas for a final season. The 6-foot-8, 220-pound versatile wing/forward is a projected/possible first round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Swain’s agent Richie Beda of WME has been in constant contact with the Texas staff, and they are all in lock step in this process. Out of all positions in the 2027 Texas recruiting class, none has more question marks than linebacker. The good thing is Texas signed a great group in 2026 and feels like it hit on all three, which in turn will allow the Longhorns to be ok if they only end up with two, or possibly even one linebacker come Signing Day in December. The transfer portal can also help, but so does the following recruiting cycle. The portal officially opened at 12:01 am this morning. That means the Horns can now be openly aggressive in acquiring new talent. It also means the Horns are preparing to lose several players. With the news yesterday that Payton Kirkland and Billy Walton would enter the portal, added to S'Maje Burrell's announcement last week, that makes three Longhorns currently headed to the portal. OnTexasFootball spoke with Conroe (Texas) High 4-star cornerback Dorian Brew a few minutes ago. He told OTF that June 14-16 is his expected OV date to Texas. Brew has OV’s set to LSU May 31-June 2, Texas June 14-16 and Ohio State June 21-23. He also has tentative dates for Oregon and USC. Four-star FSU commit locks in Texas official visit One of the prospects in the Sunshine State the Texas coaching staff went to see in the spring evaluation period (May) was 4-star EDGE Javion Hilson (Cocoa, Fla./High). Hilson, 6-4 and 230 pounds, told OnTexasFootball Saturday that the Longhorns have now locked in an official visit for June 7-9.
