Texas Softball Advance to Super Regionals *** Mike White and Texas Softball are moving onto the Super Regionals of the NCAA Tournament. A 7–0 victory over Baylor secured the regional round victory for the No. 2 ranked Horns on Sunday. Teagan Kavan was superb in the circle, allowing just three hits, one of which to the leadoff hitter for the Bears in the 1st inning. Kavan struck out five and needed just 77 pitches for the complete game shutout. Texas put on a hit display in the 6th inning with three solo homers to extend the lead but this one on ice. Texas Clinches Berth in National Championship Series *** Mike White and Texas Softball will have a chance to defend their 2025 National Championship after a double-header victory over Tennessee on Monday. The Longhorns needed to defeat the Volunteers twice coming into the morning, and they did exactly that. Game one went in favor of the Horns by the score of 5–2, and then Texas followed up with a shutout victory to survive the elimination and advance to the championship series. DENTON, Texas — Longhorns running back target SaRod Baker visited Austin for Junior Day back in January, and Texas has his attention. “Just knowing how many running backs they put in the league, that they culture they got, how they develop running backs, their speed,” he told OTF. “Also the running backs coach, Coach Juluke.” The first year Texas RBs coach hit it off with Baker and his family. “It’s great,” Baker said of his relationship with Juluke. “When I went down there he had a talk with my family, how I could come to Texas, and have a chance. After an impressive start to his career at Cal catching passes from Fernando Mendoza, Endries spent one season with the Longhorns in 2025, catching 33 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns.
