Realist Horn

Has anyone seen if Gerry got a star bump after committing to OTF? Burnt Orange Media Conspiracy....

Didn’t think we’d want a grad transfer who didn’t see the field a lot, but the crack has to start somewhere.

Senior Defensive End - Reece Atteberry https://x.com/PeteNakos_/status/1752431750746104272?s=20

waiting....waiting....waiting....

Putting your Longhorn bias aside, RBs are expendable in the league as it’s currently situated. Look back at the last last 15-20 SuperBowl champions and tell me how many had a top RB. mcCaffrey is the only one left this season. Ravens = committee Lions = Montgomery and Gibbs KC = Paceho Dallas needs to invest resources in other positions before RB.

I’ve heard Minter for sure, sounds like there may be a fight over Strength and Conditioning guy who the players reportedly love.

If an NFL team will nap a defensive analyst who was formerly an assistant DB coach for a on the field coaching position, then I don't see an issue with Texas doing it.

Last night the Michigan 24/7they noted that if Moore is hired it shouldn't open any floodgates like you saw at Alabama, but in the same breath noted that Michigan's biggest problem now is to heading off the "tampering/poaching/inducing ... going on right now." It doesn't sounds like the UM collective is very large, and although they saved some money when JJ did not return, they may not have enough to keep everyone happy. I hope Texas is one of the teams putting the pressure on (legally)..., Now is the time to donate to the Texas One Fund to help finalize Texas' roster next season.

I'll be at the series in Norman (I live in Tulsa) if anyone else is heading up there.

Wasn't their DL coach an early name we heard?

this won't end well for someone.... https://www.wafb.com/2024/01/25/kayshon-boutte-charged-illegal-sports-gaming-scheme/

🤷‍♂️

When they let go of Fangio, I guess he became available. Like to learn more about him.

I hope it happens sooner, because if you heard them answer my question today on Coffee & Football, it is VERY UNLIKELY a top DL from Michigan (or anywhere else) will come to Texas without knowing who their coach will be. Those Mich guys may enter in the 2-4 days...hopefully we can sell them on who it will be, even if not official.

Apparently, he doesn't think the air conditioning in the coaches office is strong enough.

Clint Hurtt, Ed O, maybes: Randall Joyner (Ole Miss), Mike Elston (Mich), Chad Kauha'aha'a (UCLA)

It’s going to be Moore and Mintet is gone. They may promote the DL coach to DL.

Hope the BMDs or collectives had worked some back channels here - we might be able get a player or two in for a visit this weekend (assuming Minter is gone)

Apparently Harbaugh wants immunity from any violations by his subordinates - so he can have them do the dirty work and remain employed. I think he is just done with the NCAA and takes an NFL job, but who knows now. https://247sports.com/college/michigan/board/102410/Contents/real-recognize-real-report-124-michigan-strengthens-offer-in-bid-to-keep-jim-harbaugh-226041783/?page=1

Michigan has now upped it's offer to Harbaugh. 1) elevator clause that will make sure he's always the highest paid coach in CFP; and 2) immunity from termination related to the 2 current NCAA investigations.

Well, if Jabbar is Oregon bound, all we'll have left until the Spring Portal window will be the DL coaching search.

Harbaugh cancelling his second interview with Atlanta tells me that he is ready to accept the Charger's gig (rumors of $15mil/yr). If he takes Minter with him, the Michigan boards think their DL coach, Mike Elston, would get a look at DC...if he doesn't he may be an option for Sark (just don't know if Sark or anyone else has any connections with him). He'd be a great get because he'd likely bring a DL or two with him (hopefully)). https://x.com/JoshTheAthletic/status/1750217886025539998?s=20

Welp, on to the next candidate
