Miami has zero chance because their defense can't stop molasses in winter.

Texas remains No. 1 in ESPN College Football Power Index
I hope Sark is already reminding the boys how Kirby dissed us after the last game by talking about how bad they whipped us even though we tried to cheat.

Immediate Reactions | Texas vs. Texas A&M
He didn't make a smart decision when he committed to the criminals. Why should we think he'll change now when we keep hearing how much he loves Norman? That alone tells you what you need to know. After last night, I'm sure I'd rather go from Goosby to Turntine.

Immediate Reactions | Texas vs. Texas A&M
My guess is that Bedenbaugh promised him he can start as a freshman and that the criminal interlopers will pay above market value just to tell their fanbase they have a five star tackle.

Immediate Reactions | Texas vs. Texas A&M
It's interesting to listen to the cult followers try to explain how the metaphysical powers of moonbeams, fan hugs, and chants didn't rattle the Longhorns.

No. 3 Texas at Texas A&M Game Week Thread
Man, I hope we win so we can get Georgia.

We need DTs to play big next year. We need a bruiser at RB. If that happens, we'll win a title with Arch.

My Bold Prediction vs aTm
Aggies pray to the devil for the occult powers of the moon. Quinn is obviously hobbled. Arch comes in during the second quarter and completes bombs to Wingo, crossers to Helm and screen explosives to Bolden. We win 38-17.

For those trying to argue against Texas in the CFP
Why do they pick out Texas rather than Indiana, or Penn State, or Notre Dame, or Miami? The only reasonable answer is literally the word "Texas." As far as BYU goes, they needed the refs to beat a horrible Utah team. They have no shot and their default response is "Texas." That's also the case for about thirty other schools. I thought when we moved to the SEC, that would stop. It's worse now.

For those trying to argue against Texas in the CFP
I don't know why I keep listening to BYU guys other than it's amusing, but they're still complaining about the Texas schedule. Why do they care? It has nothing to do with BYU. We're not keeping them out of the playoff. We're not a rival of theirs. Do they listen to nonsense in the national media and then repeat it? The Longhorns will end with a SOS around 30. We won't have a loss to a marginal or clearly inferior opponent. Every win but one to this point has been by multiple scores. When someone actually talks football about Texas, the knock they come up with is that Texas hasn't scored forty every game. No one else has either. Texas hasn't looked like they are clearly the best, but they have certainly been among the best.

We could all benefit reading the Book of Job.

Grammarly Ads
I'll add that the reason we're better than the criminal sooners is because they're stupid. Now that they can't cheat by paying players illegally, they're going to suck in perpetuity. A&M is stupid too. Majoring is cow crap isn't the same as electrical engineering and finance.

UT isn't all basketball and football. NIL doesn't rest on balls. Balls mean nothing if the rest of us don't kick ass.

More Grammarly ads pissing me off. Gave my youngest daughter a copy of McCarthy's Blood Meridian yesterday. This was at her request by the way. Coach Shipley said his favorite film is No Country For Old Men, written by McCarthy

Aggie Tears Thread
I'm thinking about Georgia. If we beat A&M like we should (Reed sucks), we gotta beat Georgia if we wanna win it all. Instead of throwing side to side five yards or less, we gotta throw fifteen to twenty yards outside and in the middle. If we can do that, we'll kill em.

No. 3 Texas vs. Kentucky Game Thread
Let's be honest. Sark didn't put Arch in the game even though Quinn could hardly move because he didn't want to deal with the "who's your QB" talk that would have resulted. The run game that Sark was able to call up was a real positive sign moving forward. That said, if Quinn is the least bit gimpy next Saturday, he will get trounced by the Aggies. There won't be a choice then.

Trading at 1.41 just eleven days ago. Wish I had seen that. I would expect some consolidation over the never week or so, but who knows. SOUN (Soundhoud) popped over 20% today.

Rumors of Quinn's return
Longhorns are going to need to go to the portal for QB depth regardless. Can't just go in the Season with Arch and Owens.
