Is Shohei Ohtani the best we have ever seen in sports?
I admit I don't understand. Baseball is a specialization sport when it comes to pitching, so it's more or less unheard of to have a guy that can pitch great and also play great offense; but there have always been great offensive and defensive players in other sports. When I watch Ohtani, I don't think he's one of the greatest athletes I've ever seen.

OTF: A target will be off the board soon
Seems clear that they need to avoid paying big until its proven. There's too much time and variability.

Victor Wembanyama is a total freak thread
Magic was a really good defender in the first half of his career. He led the league in steals and was the first player ever who could defend all five positions. I'm not a Spurs fan, but I'd bet they'll beat OKC and then win the title.

That's what I'm saying. We need a Sean Miller media availability session.

It's like they've decided to prove they can hit early in the count, only they can't.

Easton Royal back at LSU
No kidding. That's the whole point. Wake me up when they're juniors.

As you indicated, there's a difference in sports recruitment and regular student population.

Easton Royal back at LSU
Always wary of kids who "enjoy the recruiting process." When you hear that, you know they're more interested in fluff than substance.

They can, but it's not looking good. They seem to think they can flip the switch and decide when to play. As it stands now, we're in for at least one stinker a week.

@Jeff Howe Who on the staff is responsible for outfield defense?

Texas women's basketball portal thread
If you don't show the team that you are willing to hold your "favorites" to the same performance standard, then the team isn't likely to take it well. Do you think Knight would have let Isaiah Thomas or Steve Alford shoot 3-23 in a Final Four?

Texas women's basketball portal thread
The team and Vic are the reasons we made the Final Four, not Booker alone. I don't know that Bobby Knight is a comparison here. First, he was a great coach in the 1970s and 1980s. That won't matter to contemporary players. Secondly, Knight was never accused of having different standards for different players.
