It's funny that people hate so much vitriol towards PK now, but if you say anything about Flood or Sark you're literally the devil lol.

I've seen this mentioned numerous times but I don't think that is true. Didn't he try to bring Bama's DC with him at first? Golding? Then he tried the Arky DC at the time, name escapes me. He did try Muschamp, but he was a firm no because of his family.

Not saying I dislike Muschamp or the move, but it feels like Sark is trying to scapegoat PK into being the reason this team didn't meet expectations. At least that is the feeling I get from the pressers and all that. Anyway, looking forward to seeing what Muschamp can do. I hope for our sake it pays off, because if there is a drop off, boy is that going to be tough to explain away.

We'll see how it pans out. It's a big gamble for Sark to make. Because Gerry has said it best that once you start moving on from coordinators, then all eyes are on you when it doesn't work out still. Hoping it helps elevate us to the next level. I had my problems with some of what PK did, but he was instrumental in our success more than he was a detriment.

Probably head back to Georgia but I would love a guy that size to eat up space in the middle. Depends what Muschamp does differently schematically. I don't know what he runs, tbh.

But why though?

If he goes to the NFL, what do we expect Texas to do? Because apparently Simon and Clark are up in the air, too. Do they go for a big playmaker at RB, like Baugh or whoever they're after and try to grab another guy for a 1a/1b type of thing, like Ohio State had in '24?

Thanks for posting this, seems like everyone likes to kick him on the way out but he did great here at Texas and I'm very thankful for him. Wish him nothing but the best and he will 100% land on his feet somewhere.

So who do you fire for the average to below average offense? Apparently that is acceptable but "good" defense isn't "good" enough? When PK's D carried this team in '23 and '24. Even in parts of '25. Yes he has his issues, but unless there behinds the scenes issues, I don't see why this is a good thing. Has Muscahmp coached defense at a high level in recent years? That's a genuine question not me throwing shade. Anyway, best of luck to PK. Loved what he did at Texas and despite his misgivings, was never a problem at Texas. Hope he lands somewhere and succeeds. Let's see what Muschamp can do.

I think this is more to what Gerry has mentioned several times. You need to fit guys to your scheme, but what is your scheme? I'm not sure Sark is a power football type of guy, he's very finesse but he wants the appearance of being a downhill running team. Physical, etc. As you said, he does a lot of things great, that is undeniable.

Okay be real with me, how do I pronounce his name? I've never seen Tawfiq before.

Hope he does well, would love to see him have a great NFL career.

Just a bit off topic, but I'm playing a Dynasty in CFB 26 right now and the transfer portal goes crazy there. Clemson went undefeated and won the natty in '26, they had Sellers at QB, Hardy and Bothwell at RB and Williams at WR from the portal lol. On top of two already good WR's they had. Dabo might not like the portal IRL, but his video game version sure does love it.

Couldn't go wrong with any of these guys. I hope Texas has been backdooring someone, like every other team seems to be doing. Can't afford to miss on any position of need this off season.

The key for Jackson is to get him to actually play like a WR and not an athlete who plays WR. The talent is there, just needs to be pushed in the right direction. The light switch moment, if you will. Whether that happens is up to Wingo, of course. Whatever happens though, they need a playmaker on O to help Arch out.
