  1. BTW, should Texas open ... I don't think Will Wade would be the hire.
  2. Agree with Pitino on Beard as a pure BBK coach. But I hear IU isn't likely to go that direction.
  3. Drew remains the favorite for IU job I hear. Doesn't mean it's a done deal, of course. Things can fall apart.
  4. I don't see Wade and Texas happening. But he's trying hard behind the scenes! I would bet Sean Miller would be ahead of him ... if Texas opens.
  5. Louisiana DB schedules Texas visit Hayward Howard Jr. (New Orleans, La./Edna Karr) has quickly become one of the most coveted cornerbacks in the Southeast Region in the 2026 cycle. The son of former Ole Miss defensive lineman Hayward Howard was offered by Texas January 31, and tells OnTexasFootball today that he has an unofficial visit scheduled for March 29. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound rangy corner picked up offers from Texas, Texas A&M and Auburn January 31. Prior to that, Florida, Miami, Florida State, SMU, Texas Tech, Louisville and Houston offered in January.
  6. Why do you like Will Wade? Just wondering
  7. Still think it's TBD A lot of OOS offers in January and Feb at EDGE ... see who gets to campus in March and April Perry-Wright is a 5 that will likely end up a 5/3 long term
  8. Texas is pushing for some others harder right now. Let's see where the dust settles in March with EDGE recruiting. Texas is also not pushing for Shaun Scott of Mater Dei right now.
  9. Still hearing Scott Drew for Indiana - is most likely.
  10. I'm not so sure. Needs to be ascending trajectory ... second weekend IMO
  11. Will be interesting! Sean Miller wants Miami or ...
  12. BTW, if Mark Few was ever going to leave Gonzaga ... this would be the year to do it. I think he's stayed too long ... his best teams there are in the past. Too many key assistant losses and NIL impacts in future with profit sharing for power conferences
  13. Working on that! Yes
  14. OU is going to fire a quality coach in Porter Moser because they haven't given him the ability to truly compete. He may not be an ideal fit there, but he will be successful at his next stop IMO OU will have to get much more invested in next hire, which the profit sharing will allow for.
  15. Solid. The one game Texas can't lose is at South Carolina ... would be a bad bubble loss. Essentially it's this for Texas: Win at South Carolina Saturday Win the two homes games. 8-10 and in as a No. 10 seed.

  17. The college game is pretty much the NBA game ... just with some guys coaching it better than others. It's all NBA based offensively ... they run all the same stuff the NBA and top overseas team run.
  18. Corner is where he is most likely to play long term at the next level. But some teams will try to recruit him as a WR to offset favorite Texas recruiting him at CB
