Coffee and Football is the place to be at 8:15 AM, as we discuss all the latest news and notes when it comes to the Longhorns. Today we are joined by former Texas offensive lineman Tony Hills.

ESPN (Mel Kiper Jr./Field Yates) released a new three round mock draft this morning and it has three Horns in the first round, along with a couple more taken in the top 75.

This morning we are joined by Texas swimming and diving director Bob Bowman. We will also be talking all the latest Horns news/notes and answering your questions.

Not too far at all. About a 25 minute drive from here probably! Back toward Erath County. I’m southwest of Erath in Comanche county.

She’s visiting in the next few days!

ESPN took the top seven QBs in the draft and used a formula to determine bust rates among them. Quinn has the highest rate, as you'll see below. The Other Six: Cam Ward - 38.2% Shedeur Sanders - 43.5% Jaxson Dart - 44.3% Jalen Milroe - 65.7% Will Howard - 70.0% Tyler Shough - 78.3%

Spring break was a month ago!!! 😂

Good Monday morning to you all! Join us for Coffee and Football this morning at 8:15 AM, as we talk the Longhorns and take your questions. See you there!

Haha I appreciate that. I’m exactly an hour and a half southwest of Fort Worth… do you know where he was, exactly? I, too, am hunting at a buddy’s farm. 😂

That is awesome! Nice bird for sure!! Good things come to those who wait (well sometimes when it comes to hunting lol). And, most importantly, it’s definitely a memory you two will remember forever. Your post inspired me to go buy a few things for next weekend, as I wait for my middle son’s basketball practice to be over. My wife will be thrilled. Gotta try it and make it a successful hunt though! 😂

Absolutely awful situation. They said he was struggling with what happened and understandably so. Just a tough, tough deal.

I’m going next weekend and I am pumped. I wanted to go today but it just wasn’t in the cards. I’m taking both my older sons with me (16 and 12) for the first time. My 12 year old is pretty excited about going. The fact your six year old made it that far is impressive! I can’t imagine taking my youngest (also 6) and him making it that long lol. I think I’m going to let my 12 year old use a 410 as well. He’s on the smaller side, but we might try the 20 ga.

Yes this was the 🫢

Texas seemed kinda shocked she was going in the portal, tbh. I reached out today about it, but it’s still so early that I’m not 100% sure what the plan is regarding her. let me ask again in a couple of days.

During a press availability Wednesday, junior defensive tackle DJ Hicks was asked about how the defensive line will replace three potential NFL draft picks and what fans can expect from the unit in the future. Hicks responded, in part, saying the unit’s motto is “C.B.O.” In a follow-up question asking what “C.B.O.” stood for, Hicks said, “In simple terms, choke a woman out. Let’s say that.” “Those guys really showed us how to be, how to be the best D-line we can be with their work ethic and how they went about their daily business,” Hicks said. “So, I think we still are trying to go through the model, still trying to stay with our motto with ‘C.B.O.’ That’s what we stand for and just trying to follow Coach Spence’s coaching and Coach Tony’s coaching and I think we’re going to make a big step this year.” https://www.kbtx.com/2025/04/09/texas-ams-mike-elko-rejects-promises-address-violent-d-line-motto/

Much better. He had his surgery and is doing well!

I'm responsible for producing/getting it to podcast form when it comes to C&F. I'll bet it slipped through the cracks yesterday. Back to normal today, however!
