I know the Astros can't play day games with the roof open because of the heat and humidity in Houston. Nevertheless, I love the look of this place when the roof is open for a day game.

Volantis fell behind in the count and battled back to retire Ellis on a ground ball back to the mound.

Vandenheuvel tried to bunt his way onto first base and Tinney erased that in a hurry. He fired a rocket to Borba for the first out on Volantis' first pitch of the game.

Robbins gets jammed and pops out to short to end a scoreless, hitless first for the Longhorns.

A couple of weak ground ball to third off the bats of Mendoza and Tinney for two quick outs in the top of the first.

A first-pitch strike to Mendoza gets us underway at 2:06 p.m.

Texas is the visiting team for this one, so the Longhorns will bat first.
