  1. Kellner can't hang onto Robbins' rocket to short. Mendoza scores, Robbins reaches base and Texas has the lead, 1-0.
  2. Tinney flies out to right, but it's deep enough to get Mendoza to third. With one out, Texas has the first run of the game 90 feet away from home plate.
  3. Mendoza leads off with a double to center. Sorrell crashed into the left-center field wall and couldn't secure the catch.
  4. The Longhorns are sending Luke Harrison to the mound, looking to avoid a series loss after Friday's 9-8 loss to the Aggies. Today's game is on ESPN2.
  5. To your point, Leffew had been good in his three appearances since the Auburn loss until tonight. The same goes for Crossland's five appearances since the Ole Miss loss.
  6. Texas has played five SEC series. The Longhorns are 1-4 in openers, with a run-rule win over OU and losses to Ole Miss, Auburn, South Carolina and the Aggies. Three of the four losses have been one-run losses.
  7. Seven walks, two wild pitches, one hit batter, at least one passed ball, an overturned CS and an error that led to what turned out to be the winning run scoring. And that's not counting Gumbo's misplayed ball in left field and other chances the Longhorns had to get outs that they let get away. It's tough to win anywhere, let alone on the road in the SEC, when you make that many mistakes.
  8. Luke Harrison gets the ball tomorrow at 2 p.m. with Texas trying to avoid a series loss.
  9. The Longhorns fall to 27-6 overall and 9-4 in the SEC after dropping the series opener.
  10. Heck of an opportunity for Borba, who has struck out four times tonight.
  11. Pack takes Freshcorn deep to right. It's a 9-8 game with one out in the top of the ninth.
  12. A solo shot to center field by Robbins makes it a two-run game, 9-7, in favor of the Aggies.
  13. BOOM! ROBBINS GOES DEEP FOR THE SECOND TIME TONIGHT!
  14. Tinney goes down strikes. The 11th strikeout for the Texas bats tonight.
  15. Way too many self-inflicted wounds. The run in the eighth wasn't charged to Grubbs because of the throwing error by Borba. Texas was just too sloppy tonight.
  16. Borba's throw gets away from Larson. A run scores, even though they get Hacopian at second base to end the inning. It's been that kind of night.
  17. Well, they overturned it. The last angle they showed was the one where it looked like Sorrell's hand got to the bag before the tag was applied.
  18. I don't think there's enough there to overturn it, but I've seen stranger things happen.
  19. Tinney throws Sorrell out trying to steal second. The Aggies are challenging the call.
  20. I could stomach it better if those were hits. I can almost guarantee that'll be the first thing Schloss mentions in the postgame. Way too many free bases tonight.
