This portal season has gone so damn bad from a fan perspective right now we're getting excited about smoke from aggy insiders on TxAgs. Let's just take a moment to think that through.

I don't expect to win every portal recruitment - but what are we winning at right now? 10% of them? I also don't expect us to retain every player, but we're headed to a scenario where 30% of the current roster turns over in the portal alone. Not including players declaring or otherwise out of eligibility. Hard not to call a spade a spade on that one.

I think that begs the question Bobby - if we're offering more or as much as anyone and losing out to the home team anyway, are we offering the wrong dudes? It would seem like the most basic question to an agent would be - how happy are they are where they are right now? Why are they interested in playing for us? If it's an average level of content or above and the interest level doesn't make concise sense -we're going to lose to an incumbent 9/10.

On the foolishness front right now, we're looking pretty foolish from the outside looking in. Just sayin'

I think it's safe to say in the portal of possibilities that there's the possibility this staff is wasting it's time big game hunting when it should be grinding film on budding stars at the G5 and shitty other conference level.
