New Year New Numbers
I’d like to see Kade Phillips in 7, Greffard in 99, Justus Terry in a sleek single digit like 8, Cam Coleman at 8, Bishop with 5, and Lockett in Roy’s 4.

NBA players trying to return to college
Definitely going to be interesting. Honestly, all this just feels like we’re living in a huge episode of Punk’d on the twilight zone stage.

Random Question of the day
Good question!! Tech would be a choice but why give them the satisfaction?! Now that we have OU TAMU and Arkansas I’m happy. Outside of tech the only other team that would be interesting to renew a heated exchange might be Nebraska or Colorado.

BOLD PREDICTIONS FOR 2026 FOOTBALL SEASON
The Texas offensive line will be a Joe Moore award finalist Arch will lose the Heisman but win the national championship. Texas will have 2 receivers with over 1000 yards Simmons will have 12+sacks in the regular season Texas defense will be top 5 in all statistical categories except penalties Texas will be in the top 20 lowest penalized teams in the country. the last one is the least believable sadly.

How tall is Diego Pavia?
@Joe Zura slow on the draw. @Gerry Hamilton We all know it’s not the size of the corndog in the fryer it’s the thickness of the mayo that matters.

Not surprised about this at all. Time to accept that we’re rolling with some unproven commodities on the OL that were highly touted and have a high ceiling. LFG Hook’em

Looking for inspiration
I always like to do a general theme for the teams in the Super Bowl. Either mascot or colors. E.g., if the rams would put some goat meat on the smoker with a honey blueberry glaze and if the broncos obviously some chili with cowboy coffee rubbed brisket and a habanero blue cheese sour cream.

Tolerance for college football woes is waning
You’re not wrong. As a rabid lifetime Texas fan it’s hard to even fathom not being “all-in” Saturdays in the fall. But the reality is right now these are mercenary players and no one has any loyalty or patience to grow and develop. Football is quickly devolving into what basketball has become and the product will degrade and suffer at every level as a result. I’m not ready to give up Texas but I’ve given up the rest of college football and all other sports just in the last 3 years because of how little the leagues think of the fans. All the ads, the endless TV timeouts, the horrid announcers, worsening officiating, and outrageous prices for tickets/concessions at the games made it easy for me to spend my time and money elsewhere.

Second that! Would love to beat IU and keep them from repeating in next year’s national championship game! 🫡

College Football Playoff to remain at 12 teams this season
What’s a good thing?

College Football Playoff to remain at 12 teams this season
I’m so over ND and their special concessions. Join a conference or you don’t get a bid. The way it stands now as o understand there are 6 auto bids if you include ND and that ridiculous get in if 12 or higher. There is nothing like that in any other sport at any other level. It’s a travesty. If 12 teams are going to be in the playoffs we need to end automatic bids all together and have the top 12 selected. I’m very disappointed that expansion didn’t happen for 26. It gives so much more opportunity for players and fans to get the best football all season more big early season match ups and meaningful conference games. Just look at the last 2 seasons and the national champions coming from lower seeded teams (8 and 10) that wouldn’t have even been in the mix in year’s past. Even this season if you add a ND, TX, Vandy and BYU to the field you can’t tell me one of those 4 wouldn’t have at least move into the quarterfinals or semifinals. I’m actually for expansion to 24 with play-in games in lieu of conference championship games. Heck you could give teams that lose in the first two round an option to play each other in bowl games so those playoff teams that lose early still have the benefit of extra practices if they choose.

College Football Playoff to remain at 12 teams this season
Nope, if that were the case the last 2 national champions would’ve been out of the playoffs. Expansion is the key to keeping players and fans engaged through the regular season and post season. More playoff spots=better regular season games e.g. osu tx, Mich tx etc.
