Don't tell me the problem, what is your solution if you are Sark.
Mods and members, I think we all realize we have a QB that has not played up to his potential. There has been much said about what the problems are. So instead of complaining, I am curious what your solution is. This week, what is your move to fix this? Do you bench Arch? Rotate him with QB2, run a different scheme?

The Texas offense isn't broken, but right now, the Longhorns are bad
Auto correct got me there, you are right😆

Sark needs to be prepared to pull Arch. You have to earn your spot and he is presently the wealthiest link.

Why is the Defense In Such a Better Place Than the Offense
Yes. My hope is that Arch has the tools to maximize Sark’s offense once he hits his full stride. A more realistic expectation might be that we are a year away.

Why is the Defense In Such a Better Place Than the Offense
I think it is partly “relative” inexperience but also coaching. Getting a scheme together that maximizes the success of the players you have on hand and their ability to consistently execute that scheme at a high level. I think our defensive staff has been able to accomplish that better than the offense. Sark at times has tried to force a square peg into a round hole. They still have been good but not consistently great. Arch better suits what he wants to do but his development is still a work in progress. Lets see where we are in 4 or 5 games from now. The key to this season is can the defense keep us winning games long enough to allow our offense to come to full stride?

Big Volleyball Match vs Stanford
Amazing how well this young team is playing together this early.

Sark conservative play calling
It was a conservative game plan but despite this his offense poorly executed it, which argues that they would have done worse had it not been a conservative approach. His QB1 will progress these next few weeks and we should now have a chip on our shoulder to provide that extra motivation.

Coffee and Football: Tuesday 09/02 -- Bob Shipley joins us!
The honeymoon is over. After an underwhelming first game, and all the criticism cast on our offense and QB, this team better come out with a sense of urgency and serious chip on its shoulder.

3 Stars of the Game vs. Ohio State (2025 W1)
That is what happens when a great player is not rewarded because you just expect that from him. The stats don't lie on this one.

Rank these six teams after the last two days
Too small a sample size. Ask the question again in 6 weeks.

Interesting Arch Manning Trend from the Opener (Sunday AM)
Interesting observation. Yesterday was a maximal test for a young guy who is a new starter. He misfired on some throws he normally easily makes. Was not a total disaster, but clearly he underachieved. I think it all comes down to getting more reps and confidence either way. He should accomplish that the next few weeks and then we will see where he really is in the Swamp.

How long and why are you a Texas fan?
Grew up a Notre Dame and Texas fan. Like most Catholics in the 60’s we rooted from the Irish but being a Texas boy, Texas was also my team. When the Irish beat Texas in the Cotton Bowl that all changed as I decided I hated ND after that and was all Texas from then on. Attended and graduated from The University as well.

Thoughts on Arch Manning
Arch felt the pressure of all the hype and playing in a hostile stadium against a great defense which likely contributed to him missing on several throws (37% of them) he normally makes in his sleep. He is human after all. The talent is there and I am confident he will adjust and do very well. Tough first game . Don’t forget, the last time we played in the shoe it was with a seasoned Vince Young in a game we narrowly pulled out.

The Game was ours for the taking…
OSU executed better in key situations and made less penalties/mistakes. Being the home team played a role as well. We will get much better. We will have the motivation to get better. This loss could be a blessing. We will see.

Jerry strikes again. Parsons traded
Two late first round picks for a generational player? No! You give that guy a max contract and keep building around him. Jerry is looking for another Hershel Walker 2.0 trade still...smh.

Do we make money playing OU in Dallas?
I know they formerly paid each school 500,000 for the game and possibly part of the gate as well though I am not sure. They renegotiated things a couple of years ago and have not seen the details on that.

Urban Meyer and Joel Klatt talk Texas at Ohio State
I am now in pre-game hype "black-out" mode. No more talk. Let's get the game played and see where the chips fall.

2 Days From Kickoff — Who’s Your Favorite No. 2?
ROJO may not be the best player with that number, but he is certainly the most beloved here.

Sergio Kindle
This is often curable with surgery and I hope Sergio's is. General guidelines if asymptomatic: Start Colon screening at age 45 unless African American which would be age 40 if normal risk. If family history, start 10 years earlier than your family members cancer diagnosis, or 45 whichever comes earlier. Note: Would recommend colonoscopy, not the cologuard stool test as that test misses many precancerous polyps that could someday become cancerous and that is what you want to detect and remove with screening to prevent them from becoming cancer. There is a place for cologuard but it is not considered first line for screening due to its limitations. It is a sedated exam that takes on average 20 minutes to do the exam. Most places have "easy access" where you can schedule it online without a pre-op visit unless you have health issues that could effect your anesthesia risk (heart disease, lung disease, blood thinners, etc).

Love that Texas already has premier non-conference game annually
These games provide that extra motivation to the players to work harder and prepare with full intensity coming out of the blocks.
