Now with the Virginia ruling that the universities can pay the players NIL money, does that now get rid of the scholarships? And if so, does that mean you can have of any type of player on your team and not have to worry about the scholarship number of 85 or whatever it is?

If you're worried about scholarships number, why wouldn't you have an NIL deal that makes worth a player while to play at TX? Is there a NCAA rule about how many walk on you can have? Is it ego for a player to not be in scholarship? I could see a deal where you have an NIL deal that cover the cost of school and real money to play at TX?

What a great nickname. I want a LB name Tank.

Just curious, why would you unsubscribe still plenty of free stuff on here?

I hope you all join OTFOG.

The year before Chris Jackson came to Texas we're really bad year for wide receivers at TX, Marion may have been overrated as a wide receiver coach? What Chris Jackson is doing with this group the last two years seems to be amazing. What a hire that doesn't get enough credit. IMO

Uber WTF, hope this does not cost you millions. If he drops from a high second round to a fourth or fifth round a $25 Uber ride would have been well worth it.

At this point in recruiting who is the better prospect. Lacey or Russell? And I'm not talking about ranking number, I'm talking about the skill level they are currently at and upside.

If the kid from Duncanville starts to outshine Lacey next fall, TX will be 100% on him. Would love to see a TX kid recruited at QB.

Any concerns about Neto passing protection? Hadon did well with pass protection, but have not seen Neto pass protect much?

My biggest concern is what has happened to player development this year? Hunter and Mitchell took a step back? Ok, Mitchell really didn't take a set back, just did not improve enough from year 1 to year 2.

I'm guessing with the RPO they run there is less need to change the play? You don't see Quinn walk up to the line or receivers barking out signals after the defense has changed up!

Now that Quinn is in his third year at Texas is he allowed to change a play at the line of scrimmage if he sees a change in the defense? Now maybe it doesn't matter if they go with the headsets in the helmet, but there have been times when changing the play would have been a good idea? Did Steve Sarkisian allow quarterbacks at Alabama to change plays?

Except they are very talented and on campus running the TX offense and catching passes from Quinn, and he's not. That puts him behind everyone. How hard will it be to catch up in the short time before the 1st game? Hard system to pick up. Plus, this has nothing to do with being afraid, but having one season to show the NFL all your skills. I want him to be at TX, I just wonder if it's the best move for the kid?

No, he just a really good kid.

I think that title still sits with Alabama for now, but like Gerry said, in 3 years???

It has nothing to do with wanted to compete, you now have two experience WR on campus now, plus Cook and a 3 other young guys that are really good. He is a really good kid and I truly want the best for him. If he was on campus now I would feel better about him, but he will be behind so much talent it will be hard for him to catch up. I hope I'm wrong for the kid sake.

I am 100% sure that's what TX will do with him, I think he is an amazing young man and I want the best for him, and if that at TX great. If he was on campus now I would be less concerned.

That explains the missed blocks.

What about Jordan Whittington and AD Mitchell?

He has seemed to have disappeared a bit, I'm not sure he will be much of a contributor at TX. I think size will be his issue.

Ok, now that a funny reply. LMAO

Dubose will not play this year because of a knee, cain transfered. That's still 9 guys trying to find playing time. But I get your point.

I only asked the question is that have not heard very much about Cook, and is that because we know who Cook is, or is he being over shadowed by others? Is the Media allowed at practice all week or just Tuesday?

Thanks, I will try not to get pulled in.
