Texas Ranked No. 13 In Baseball America Preseason Poll

Earlier today, Baseball America released their Top 25 Preseason Poll and the Longhorns come in at the No. 13 spot.  With the season less than two weeks away, Texas will face multiple opponents ranked in the Top 25, including three in the top ten and six overall.

    8 of top 11 SEC teams, hopefully Pierce can figure our roster mgmt before next year.  Baseball and obviously men's hoops are probably the biggest concerns going into SEC.

    Pierce did a great job of explaining the problem with the transfer portal window and the MLB draft when he sat down with us last week.  I think every college baseball fan needs to listen to that, because it's a valid concern for ALL programs, not just Texas.

    With that said, I love this roster and the potential of it.  I do wish Texas didn't lose Notre Dame transfer Will Mercer, however. That hurts.

    Look forward to the baseball season (especially with some of the SEC atmospheres to come).  Considering we have our own baseball expert, Blake, I know we will stay up to date!!!  🤘

    I hear ya even though the SEC baseball schedule might be tough Pierce has the Horns baseball program in a good place. He brought back a key piece of his staff from 2-3 years ago in Troy Tulowitzki and David Pierce can coach. I’m pretty excited about heading into the SEC as long as he can keep his staff and bring in another top 5 recruiting class for 2025.

    Pierce has Texas in an ok spot but not great. Hard to believe Texas would be like preseason #7 in the SEC. Things will need to improve to get to the upper level of the conference.

    Basketball will be fine. Hoops is the one thing the SEC isn’t better than the Big 12 in. Texas will improve moving conferences especially if they keep their recruiting class.
