Texas cornerback Malik Muhammad is off the board on Saturday, as the Chicago Bears picked the Longhorns cornerback with the 124th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Steve Sarkisian spent a fair amount of time in Dallas today. The Horns’ head coach has already been to both Skyline and South Oak Cliff today. One player that is clearly a priority for the Horns this recruiting cycle is Bo Barnes, the linebacker at Skyline. It’s the third time Sarkisian or a Texas coach has met with Barnes in the last week (once at junior day and twice at Skyline).  

One day after being in Arkansas to see Arkansas safety commitment Marcus Wimberley out of Bauxite, Ark., Texas secondary coach Blake Gideon made a visit to Jasper, Texas, earlier today. Jasper is home to multiple FBS prospects, but one in particular stands out -- tight end Kiotti Armstrong. Armstrong visited Texas for Junior Day last weekend. He is expected to visit Miami for its Junior Day this coming weekend.    

It has been a busy month of recruiting for Steve Sarkisian and it is not slowing down anytime soon.   Sarkisian brought two of his top recruiters with him to see TE commit Emaree Winston in Georgia this afternoon – Jeff Banks and Tashard Choice. Choice has been digging around in Georgia for the last week or so, having extended offers to five prospects on the trip. Sarkisian is expected in Saraland tomorrow to see QB commit KJ Lacey.
