Sark's ultimate recruiting class Steve Sarkisian and staff have signed three straight top 5 classes headed into the 2025 cycle. That string of success means Texas has signed multiple four-star ranked prospects at every position, and top 300 nationally ranked prospects overall at every position. There must also be enough five-star's signed in each class to finish in the top 5. And then there is the national approach. One has to be a national recruiting program to truly register top 5 cl

Sarkisian was on hand at The Star this morning for the induction ceremony and to also check out draft hopefuls Ja'Tavion Sanders and Ryan Watts who are partaking in drills and workouts this week. Texas took to the field Tuesday morning for the first practice of the spring window. While the media window concluded with the team mostly undergoing special team and individual drills, Steve Sarkisian peeled back the curtain just a bit in his press conference following practice. The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Committee proposed three new rules for the upcoming 2024 season – with helmet communication being the No. 1 talking point of the bunch. ESPN reported yesterday that the SEC and Big Ten are joining to form an exploratory advisory committee to determine the future of college sports. That’s big. Like as big as it gets in college sports. The two heavyweights of college sports are officially prepping to leave the NCAA. So where do we go from here? I truly don’t know. Like everyone else, I can pontificate what it should be - 48 teams? 64? - but I don’t know the exact answer. The key question I have is this:

Champions are made in the off-season. The off-season doesn't grab many headlines, and it's not always pretty. A lot of hard work, early morning workouts, increased and improved attention to detail, growth (physically and mentally), tinkering with the personnel and schemes, self-scouting and opponent scouting, it's all part of the process. Class of 2021 TE, JT Sanders, Denton Ryan Most accurate recruiting ranking in retrospect: On3: no. 60 national, no. 9 player in Texas; in every other ranking, Sanders was rated as a five star - Sanders was a man among boys in high school. But he rarely played a true tight end; instead, he frequently lined up flanked outside for jump ball opportunities. He also played some defense. U
