Three of the five commits in the 2025 class currently live outside the state lines of Texas. As a result of the Longhorns finding some very talented early prospects from around the country, they will now be tasked with holding onto those verbal pledges as schools around the corner look to crack that door open any way they can. TE Emaree Winston was at UCF this weekend where Gus Malzahn made it a point to spend time with him during their trip together to the Knights' basketball game. DL

A few nuggets I have come across this weekend in regards to Texas recruiting the 2025 class. *** First, there is a desire from new Texas offer and current Auburn DL commit Malik Autry to visit Austin this spring. Autry told me he is going to be making the trip to Texas but there was no date or timeline attached for when that might take place. The 6-foot-5.5 and 320-pound defensive lineman has been committed to Auburn since February 1, 2023. Any chance of flipping this commitment s

AUSTIN, Texas — Pete Kwiatkowski enters his fifth season as Texas defensive coordinator with the pass rush in a much better place than where it stood three years ago. Kwiatkowski’s first season on the Forty Acres was largely forgettable. While allowing the second-most yards per rushing attempt (5.15) of any Longhorn defense and third-most yards per play (6.03) and points per game (31.1) in school history, Kwiatkowski’s first season saw Texas record 20 sacks in a 12-game campaign, good for a

The Texas Longhorns are set to host one of the top 2025 offensive line prospects in California next month.  San Francisco (Calif.) Archbishop Riordan IOL Peter Langi told OnTexasFootball Tuesday morning that he will be in Austin to visit Texas March 16-17. He will make the visit with his mom and brother.  Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood stopped by Archbishop Riordan last spring and in December. Flood offered the 6-5, 335 pound interior OL prospect September 13, 2023.  Langi

Earlier today around 1pm on his ranch, Jordan Shipley, the former Texas wide receiver, was involved in an accident. Shipley escaped the accident with the help of a worker nearby but he was severely burned in the process. Shipley was care-flighted to Dell-Seaton Hospital in Austin and is currently undergoing the first of what will likely be several surgeries ahead. Please pray for Jordan and his family, as well as his dad Bob Shipley, who is on the way to the hospital to be with Jordan

There are not many true position battles headed into the 2024 spring camp, but there are a number of positions to keep a close eye on. The 2024 Texas roster consists of plenty of talent on both sides of the ball, but it will take some interesting configurations from the staff to maximize the rotations and on-field performance. *** Quarterback: Quinn Ewers & Arch Manning This is not expected to be too much of a battle. Quinn Ewers has the vocal support of Steve Sarkis

Texas is still hot in pursuit of former Washington CB Jabbar Muhammad, however as Bobby mentioned earlier this afternoon, the Oregon Ducks are positioned to take the pole position with Muhammad now in Eugene. Now, if Muhammad does decide to join the Ducks, there is another name from another program to keep an eye on. Jim Harbaugh is reportedly headed to Los Angeles today for a 2nd in-person interview with the Chargers. A deal is within "strikiing distance" per Zach Barnett of FootballS
