No On-Field Workouts This Weekend for Jordan Whittington

Texas WR and draft hopeful Jordan Whittington will not be partaking in the on-field drills at the NFL Combine this weekend.

Whittington spoke with reporters Friday morning ahead of the wide receivers day Saturday.

The reason for the former Cuero star to not participate during the Reese's Senior Bowl was due to a hamstring injury he suffered in training. That issue has since lingered to the NFL Combine.

Whittington will only participate in the bench press this weekend in Indianapolis, before using the Texas Pro Day as one final on-field audition for NFL scouts.

    Unfortunately true. Being unable to perform during the audition period is a big bummer.

    Still hope if a great Pro Day, but not the same imo as showing the skills at the combine. Still think he can be an asset somewhere but more than likely the free agent route. Maybe could have made himself more $ this weekend, but sure he takes care of his NIL. His future is bright if not football no doubt.

    Jwhitt is the next Lil Jordan and Collin Johnson. He will be UDFA but will stick around because he just knows how to play the game. He has the grinder mentality.

    Ironic that injury history has been his biggest concern, and he is injured during the biggest moment of his career.  Ouch!
