Not sure if this makes sense, but the overall vibe seems to be better and more welcoming here at OTF. Really glad Gerry is back. CJ , Rod and Bobby are top notch. No attitudes, just great coverage.

Oh it does for sure make sense. That other site had a group of posters who thought they ran the place. This place does have a different vibe, let’s hope it stays friendly and considerate.

That’s up to all of us!

This place will be what we all make it.

One of these days I would like to impart what following recruiting was like 4 to 5 decades ago. The evenings scanning radio channels hoping to hear a staticky Max Emfinger etal, Dallas Morning News clipping of top 100 and Texas Football Magazine in hand. Those were NOT the days. Yeah I been around.

Given that quality IDL are hard to find in the portal, the D’antre Robinson loss hurt. How concerned should we be about Melvin Hills making it to campus. I think we need him from a sheer numbers position.

I do think that is still in the balance. Hills is a developmental player that needs a solid year to add 15-20 quality pounds. He will be 6-3, 300 on day … but not as a true freshman

getting a second portal DT is so key

It’s a fun topic for sure … Burton lived it lol

@Gerry Hamilton @CJ Vogel who are each of your respective top 5 favorite recruits in the 25 class? & who would you name as the 5 must get recruits in that class? Obviously some of these answers will overlap but would love to hear both of your favorites in particular!

Long time listener, new to the board.  Wanted to say welcome back to Gerry as well!

Wondering if you had any input on WR tiers at this point.  DK Moore is an obvious #1 battle with LSU.  Sounds like staff trying to get into Lockett.. haven't heard much from Marsh and Taz Williams recently (Marsh an aggy lean?) .  Is Michael Terry III a good WR take for a super athlete playing QB now?  Staff still likes the Oregon commit Wilson it seems..   Then the out of state guys longshot Ffrench and the high possibility Harris from Mater Dei.    How different are the coach's talent ranking and fit ranking for these guys?

Good question! I'll put some of that together soon in various stories ... great topics

I would have Kelshaun Johnson (Hitchcock High) in that conversation. He's got real speed/shifty quickness that Sarkisian has coveted to this point.

Would say the WR board is still developing and likely will through the spring headed into June OV's...

Texas seemingly has some guys higher than Marsh and Taz WIlliams, as of right now.
