Four-Star OL Announces Top 8

Bridgeland (Cypress) 2025 offensive tackle Jonte Newman just dropped his top 8 schools on Twitter. The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder is ranked a four-star in the On3 Industry Rankings and the No. 343 player overall.

 

This past season he was a unanimous District 16-6A first-team selection.

    Really talented prospect. Also teammates with recent Texas offer Ryan Fodje, who Kyle Flood offered this weekend.

    Four of his 8 schools are in the state so I bet he stays here. Plus the fact that we are recruiting Fodje bodes well for us. Not sure if other schools are offering both. The fact that they probably would want to play together puts us in the catbird seat. Feeling like this is a slam dunk for the good guys, HOOK 'EM #TGBHH

    Do we think he has an actual "committable offer" from UT?  #343 player in the class seems like a reach, but maybe we felt we had to in order to get Fodje?
