NIL for dummies

Featured Replies

OTF, please explain how NIL and revenue sharing is supposed to work. It's Greek to me.

Can a guy like Cody Campbell still reshape one team's fortunes?

The OTF staff has a better view, but here is the Primer:

1. NCAA now allows schools to allocate up to 21 million per year to NIL.  HOWEVER, these funds must be shared among all sports.  It sounds like a big number, but it really is not.

2. Collectives still exist and provide the real money.  This is why all Horns need to contribute to Texas One.

3. Then there are the individual deals.........Think Warbi Parker................not sure whether these go through T1 or not.

4. Anything that goes through 2 or 3 must be approved by clearing house.
