Margin For Error…

Featured Replies

I’m gonna assume Texas will be #9 in the upcoming CFP Poll. They are tied for OU in the new AP Poll at 10. Committee has shown to value H2H, so Texas could be at #9 when the playoff poll releases. I think as long as we don’t get embarrassed in Athens and we beat A&M, we will get an at large bid. We just CANNOT get blown out. A 3-7 point loss to UGA doesn’t hurt shouldn’t hurt us that bad. Clearly we want to win. Just think we have more wiggle room to get in as a 9-3 team.

We'll be 10th behind the following:

1. Ohio St

2. A&M/Indiana

3. Indiana/A&M

4. Alabama

5. Georgia

6. Ole Miss/Tech

7. Tech/Ole Miss

8. Oregon

9. Notre Dame

Exactly. Don’t leave it in the committee’s hands. You won your way into controlling your destiny. Winning is the only thing that ensures that remains the case.

ACC keeps waltzing itself right into a one team invitation at this point, though.

Which is why unfortunately i see 9-3 and no playoffs this year.

I disagree - I think projections are forecasting 9-3, just my opinion.

They say these big out of conference games don’t hurt you but the reality is if we played Lafayette instead of Ohio State on the road we would be sitting pretty.

Losing to Ohio State isn’t the problem losing to a terrible Florida team is.
