"Hi Cut" an Oline Issue?

Featured Replies

I kept my eyes on the offensive line last night and something popped up in my mind.  Some of the Olineman seemed a little short in the torso and long in the legs.

Maybe I'm just seeing things but when Cambell was running down the sidelines on a run play I noticed that he doesn't have that typical low center of gravity that's considered ideal for interior guys.  Then I started looking at the line in general ................

That's often called being "Hi Cut".  I see this term in NFL combine analysis and it's often considered a negative in run blocking.

Also, when the Coleman brothers and Daniel Cruz got involved they actually seemed more torso/leg proportional than the starters did.

Maybe I'm just reaching in an attempt to understand the lack of run game push.  I'm open to being completely wrong here.

Has anybody noticed that our lineman seemed a little hi cut?
