I think we should retire the Stroh experiment. Should we get a look at Robertson or Cruz at center? The PFF grades for our OL are terrible. Can we get an expert to break it down for us? I just think we have regressed more than expected.

LT - Goosby

LG - Umeozulu with Stroh rotating in

C - Hutson I think Cruz is a season away from being ready.  Needs another offseason to develop physically, but has a higher ceiling than Hutson for sure.

RG - Campbell, but needs to clean up the penalties

RT - Baker for now, but this is the biggest question mark by far.  Too many penalties and missed assignments.  This is why the Cojoe injury is significant.  Nick Brooks will have a chance to beat him out over the next couple of games.

The OL is not terrible.  They don't have to be as good in pass pro as they did in years past because Manning is good at moving in the pocket.  Run blocking is still a question mark despite having better personnel.  Have to wonder if it's how they're being taught at this point.  And of course, the penalties.

 

They aren’t terrible, but they might get Arch killed against an aggressive D with an overpowering d line. OU and UGA feel like dangerous games for our offense. 

I never been a hutson fan. His PFF grades were terrible last year.

I see a lot of 12 personnel in our future. 1 I don’t see 21 personnel helping us much. 2. We can field two TEs that can both block and catch. 

I'm not about going off the PFF scaling, but that's my opinion. I'm not a fan of rotating OL, but that's my opinion. I think you need to do it like this.

I thought Stroh did well last week, but against the SJSU front he got caught with cement feet more times than not and really missed some blocks. I think Umeozulu moves better and continues going after guys, etc. 

I don't think they played terribly, they're still trying to find their groove. Also don't understand the Hutson hate, he's been good for us ever since his Fr year. Though I'd like to see him be a bit more aggressive.

I would like to see Brooks get some reps at RT once he's off punishment(hopefully these next two games) just to see what he can do. Right now Baker is a turn table offensive lineman and not good.

I don't mind Baker, he's only a SO but you might be right. Not a fan of having FR on the OL. Maybe Cojoe would've been better before the injury?

Hutson has routinely gotten rag dolled since he’s been here. How he’s gotten the snaps he has over the years and gotten the starting nod at center is beyond me.  When we are a true upper echelon (top 1-3) champion caliber team, I don’t think we’ll have guys like Hudson starting on the oline.

He’s just two starts in.  Let’s let him settle in a bit before we throw him out. 

Regardless we need to get Nick Brooks some snaps ASAP. It’s very unfortunate he didn’t play a lot last week. 
 

If/When Goosby goes pro (and he’s already having the type of season to) it’s probably going to be Brooks and Baker. 
 

we will probably need to portal some OL next year as well if we are serious about a championship 

The great Big Humans strategy on the OL over the past three recruiting seasons is not exactly materializing. We need dudes who are actually good at playing OL.
