Most of these, I like.   Good tweaks to rules.   Will be interesting to see actual enforcement and interpretation of late game theatrics wity players faking injuries to stop click.

One rule that surprised me if I read it correctly, I didn’t realize the coach to player helmet communications weren’t in full use during the playoffs last season.   Maybe there’s some nuance to that rule change that needs clarity.

The communication rule is Regarding the FCS getting it now.  Fcs is the old division 1 AA..below the FBS that Texas is in

 

--A player attempting to recover a loose ball is now considered a defenseless player.

 

That one will have some impact in games for sure

The change in question is in regard to letting FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) teams have the helmet communications. 

That rule will help Illinois State against OU in a few weeks, preventing Brent Venables from a last bastion of space for him to steal sideline signals.
