This morning I’ve been doing research on the betting side of things for Texas/Ohio State. 

Here are the betting statistics for the big season opener:

- The public sides with the Horns on both the spread (65% of the money) and outright winner (a whopping 96% of the money).  

- The game is the most bet, by total money wagered, for all Week 1 games. 

- The matchup is the second most bet game, by number of bets, for Week 1, falling behind Alabama/FSU.

- Both teams are the betting favorites (+550) to win the CFP. 19.5% of the total money is on Texas to win it all, while 8.7% is on Ohio State. 

- The Longhorns are responsible for 12.5% of all tickets to win the CFP, compared to 9.2% for the Buckeyes. 

- The largest bet on Texas to win the CFP is currently $300,000, which would pay $1.5 million. This is also the largest reported bet for a team to win the CFP, period.

Not being sarcastic, but let us know what the “sharps” do the week before the game.  I’d be interested in that.

I was told my bet would be confidential - you can never trust the MGM

Bama/FSU is just free money imo. I can see why it’s the most bet on.

I remember before the Sugar Bowl all the money came in for Texas but the line didn’t budge hardly at all, so Vegas backed Ohio State big time. 
 

We almost served up a big sh*t burger for them but they got the back door cover.
