We're just over 30 minutes away from Sean Miller being formally introduced as the next Texas men's basketball coach. Gerry and I will both be in attendance for the press conference.

Jim Schlossnagle is here. Brian Boddicker and Connor Lammert are among the former players I’ve seen make their way into the Hall of Fame for the press conference.

Coach Sean Miller Introductory Press Conference

 

We're getting started. BOR Chairman Eltife is the first to speak. He opens his remarks by thanking Rodney Terry for representing Texas with class for everything he did for the basketball program.

Chairman Eltife on CDC: "Everything he does is in the best interest of Longhorn Nation."

Chairman Eltife is praising Sean Miller as a coach, developer of talent and for his style of play.

Jim Davis, the interim UT president is now making a few remarks.

CDC: "It's fitting that we're having this press conference in the Hall of Fame."

CDC: "Every decision we make, we constantly talk about what's right for Texas."

CDC to Sark: "I found your doppelganger!"

Just now, Jeff Howe said:

CDC to Sark: "I found your doppelganger!"

Sark snuck in at some point.

CDC: "Rodney did an amazing job under such tough conditions."

CDC: "Texas isn't for everybody. We know that... Are we living up to the standard that we set forth?"

CDC is running down Sean Miller's résumé. 

CDC said Sean Miller is a "coach who can compete at the highest level; has won at the highest level."

CDC said they did a thorough background check on Sean Miller before hiring him.

CDC said Miller is hungry to "take Texas basketball to its rightful place."

Sean Miller has officially been introduced.

Miller is thanking Xavier for beliving in him and giving him an opportunity. 

Miller: "You wouldn't want me to be the coach if I didn't have really strong feelings about the place I just left."

Miller is thanking the Texas brass "for this unbelievable opportunity."

Miller: "To be the coach here is quite an honor."

Miller on Rodney Terry: "I have immense respect for him."
