Hoops: Texas vs. No. 15 Kentucky Game Thread

The Texas Longhorns (15-9, 4-8) play host to the No. 15 ranked Kentucky Wildcats (17-7, 6-5) at 7pm central tonight. 

The Longhorns will once again be without junior guard Chendall Weaver, and senior forward Arthur Kaluma is doubtful. 

The Wildcats will be without two of their top three guards tonight, with Jaxson Robinson and Lamont Butler out tonight. The due combines to average 28.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists.

If we can slow down Jamal Mashburn, we have a chance.

Honestly not feeling great about this one. This team feels like they’re slipping away. 

Kentucky guards Jaxson Robinson and Lamont Butler are out. This is an opportunity  for Horns to capitalize on the backcourt play, control the pace of the game, and get the win.

Can we get him to suit up for Texas?

The day can’t be bad though. I got to meet and get a jersey signed by Jermichael Finley today. He seemed very excited about his son visiting Texas soon. He has four other kids, and none play basketball.

Need to watch out for Tony Delk, IMO.

We've played 2 games against Kentucky in forever.  We shot a combined 36/119 from the field in those 2 games.

ACC game will run over by about 20 minutes.

 

I don't know if RT was booed tonight so much as it was a lukewarm reaction to him being introduced as head coach during starting lineup intros.

 

Nobody put a body on Amari Williams. East offensive board and he's headed to the line after getting fouled by Mark.
