Remember when we said he couldn’t track a deep ball? Tracked that one just fine. He would’ve been fun to watch with Arch. 

I thought we just had bad luck going this long without a Longhorn scoring a td in the super bowl. But DeVonta Smith was also the first player DRAFTED from Alabama to score a TD in the super bowl. That's insane

8 catches on 8 targets, tied for 3rd (with a lot of guys) for most receiving touchdowns in a Super Bowl, and number 5 on the all-time list for receiving yards in a Super Bowl!  Wow!  Way to make the most of your opportunities.  If they had won, he would most likely have been the MVP.

He set a rookie record for receiving yards (158) in a Super Bowl, beating the previous record by 49 yards.  It's also been said he's also the first rookie ever to catch two TD passes in a Super Bowl.  So more than just Longhorn history was made.
