It would be great if Sark could speak with him & get him back on track . A 5 star with all that talent. He needs to find a school where he can start . He’s not thinking straight now . He definitely needs some guidance.

He's a lost cause....Sark has had plenty of conversations with him and given him a path prior to his dismissal from Texas.

  • I said this when everyone was making fun of him for another team dropping him, and sending him back in to the portal. He needs people around him that actually care about him. He needs people around hi

I hear you.  But I also assume he’s got some fairly significant mental health issues.  And if he doesn’t get help he’s going to end up i prison costing us all money or he’ll end up worse.  In the end

Ok , I was under the impression that he went into the transfer portal on his on . I was not aware he was dismissed from the team . It’s obvious he needs guidance. I hope he is able to overcome his downward spiral.

If you have read the stories today he was at a Smokeshop at 7 this morning. His Credit Card was declined and he stole the employees keys. Then evidently resisted when caught. Maybe he has blown all that $ on his habit! Also Chip Brown reported he was snooping around players lockers at Washington trying to steal. Heard same thing happened at Texas and he was called out. Again  he needs help, but facts matter sometimes while you can have compassion. Definitely more to it than what you read as well. To each his own on their compassion or not!

Now... what's plausible? They got in an argument after his card declined... or he went in there to rob the smoke shop? Regardless, he's lost his way. This, as embarrassing as it may be, needs to be rock bottom for him. We've all seen the Arik Gilbert story, and I don't wanna see Johntay repeat it. The best thing for Johntay would be for no one to talk about him for a while. Go home... get some help, and go to work. Find a way back to the football field somewhere and lock in. I pray he gets it together. Regrets will destroy guys like him... my best friend is a prime example. He's 46 now.. and just got over how he let his opportunities slip through his fingers.🤘🏿

I had the same thought. It would require a lot of humbling on Johntay’s part but I don’t see Sark giving up on a kids struggling like this regardless of whether he plays for him or not. Hate this for any young man that is struggling and appears lost and angry.

As much of a feel good story as that would be it is not reality. Sark has 120+ people he has to worry about from his own team, personnel, donors, and etc. He had given him every opportunity prior to dismissal

Getting kicked out of two schools in a short period of time and then getting arrested does not lend itself very well for someone other than his parents to put up with that until he settles down some.  A lot of people wished him well when he left here and hoped he grew up some.  A lot of people, maybe not as many, wished him well when he left Washington and probably hoped he would straighten up.  I don't know for sure but the forums have stated that he got caught smoking pot in the locker room, got into fights/arguments, and even was caught stealing something in the locker room.  Maybe that caused a fight.  He had to have done something to get kicked out so quick.  Then to get caught stealing in Fort Worth shortly after that.  Hopefully that was the kick in the butt to shake him up- but I doubt it.

May be, it would be on Johntay to make the effort all I’m saying is Sark wouldn’t turn him down if he was asking for help. Just one guys opinion.
