  • Man glad I came. Kids really fought to get back into this game.

Pope.  Taking an off balance three instead of working the clock.

Mark decided he was going to shoot as soon as he got the ball. Still had time left after the shot and he is walking with his head down. Texas doesn’t have a point guard. Which means Johnson, Kaluma and Mark have to go one on one.

Can we get a short board for a basketball coach next year? I get the sec is tuff this year but can you see this squad winning more than 4 conference games? RT just hasn’t done anything but take that roster of beards to the elite 8.

Wow!!! haven't heard that before? Having a board for people who never played basketball is a waste. It is just too much to bare.

I had hopes of Larry proving to be one, but he has been an absolute disaster this game.

Is it time for a new arena?  New practice facility?

It was the Cooley facility that did more than anything to make the Barnes heyday.

But I think now it will be more about NIL.

I’m at the game…

Just 1 assist. So gross. A bunch of dribbling without looking to pass. Only passing once they pick up the dribble and are stuck looking for someone. Nobody is moving while the ball-handler drives, just watching. Zero plan on offense (no real surprise but annoying still).

I like Terry but this is a coaching and/or roster construction issue. That’s all on him. His time has come I think

I ignore and move on. I thought about staying home but I wanted to support them up close. Haven’t had a chance to meet Mack though.

He took off like a rocket on one possession and then just fell down.

We should hire the ISU head coach

He signed an extension last month to last through 2032.  He already had a huge buyout.  Can only imagine what it might be now.

Crowd wants to get into this game but every time we are close we blow the next play. Larry the biggest culprit.
Auburn has the look of some serious ball players. We have the look of guys who like(d) to play basketball.

I am at the game too. They didn’t want to get into the game at the start. They did around the six minute mark. Fell quiet as Texas fell apart at the end.

This Texas team vs Auburn reminds me of us vs one of our weak non conference opponents. We look totally out manned and disjointed.

Well Terry ain’t making it

Tre Johnson talking more to the coaches on the bench than playing the game. Didn’t finish the first half in the play, just watched. Now complaining to the coaches about why he’s getting beat on defense. I’m sure he’s frustrated, but it’s noticeable

I think he’s in for a rude awakening with many games like this and how our offense is basically revolved around him unless kaluma is on

His frustration has been noticeable since the fifteen minute mark of the first half.

We did have a play in the second half in which someone set a ball screen for Kaluma, and he hit a three.

That is about as rudimentary as offense gets.

That is also about as complex as our offense has been today.

We have had two assists on lobs to players under the basket.

And now a third on a pass to Onyema under the basket on a completely broken play.

And now a fourth on a perimeter pass to Kaluma for a three.  Hardly a play in which someone worked to create an open man, but hey, it was scored as an assist.

Auburn has a great team, so I'm not surprised we are losing tonight, but we have no offense to speak of, unless the words being used are highly uncomplimentary.

I don't expect Coach Terry will be coming back for 2025-26.

I will nevertheless thank him for leaving a job as a head coach elsewhere, taking a demotion to come here, taking over when Beard s* the bed, and getting us to the Elite Eight for the first time in 14 years.
