You can even see plain as day that as soon as Terry held the shirt up his dad was already smiling & throwing the horns up. But yea he was totally surprised & faked a very natural excited reaction.

Also, Terry is referring to business outside of football as the business decision. Didn’t mention the money unless prompted to comment on that piece of it. I forgot that Athens rivaled Austin in terms of business connections & so the only determining factor was the money Texas had lined up.

I mean, it can easily be both. Business is all-encompassing. We all knew this was going to be an NIL recruitment, but there’s no way we would’ve gotten him without Coburn, Sweat, Ojomo, Murphy, Collins, Lole, Broughton, etc. being draft picks. We wouldn’t have gotten a guy like this a few years ago even with the money. 

It's truly insane how much people want a recruit until they don't commit, then it all of a sudden turns into an all-out character smear.
