Aside from the family connection, Tech never made sense for him. Always seemed like a SEC player. Honestly, kind of gives me Matthew Golden vibes as a guy that always should have came here, maybe he makes it right in the end.

Just because an inferior team/coach can't develop him doesn't mean that there's a lack of talent there. Do you think his ranking was completely wrong by every recruiting site out there? Do you know how many people predicted this very scenario when he signed with Tech.

Texas doesn't need to grab a kid from the portal that couldn't produce just because of all the shiny stars next to his name.  And it's not like tech was deep in WR talent as several freshman WRs on the tech squad got playing time over him which is telling.  I will trust that Sark and Co. will have better sense than the fans on here caught up on all those shiny stars. 🤣😂
