Another recruiting note

Fasten your seatbelt, there is going to be turbulence leading up to Wednesday.

The Joseph Mbatchou flip will not be the last commitment Texas loses in this cycle.

I'm not going to say the who because it's the prospects news to drop, but it is 100% happening.

I'll also say this ...

There are a couple of positive developments happening as well.

Got to be Ffrench or Charles

Desperate losing programs will make for some wild recruitments.  But losing programs are losers for a reason.  Just have to hammer that home.

just looking at their X accounts i would put the house on it being charles

My guess is the tight end.  Following the visits and the level of panic in Collie Station I’m thinking they go all in

As long as we don’t have a worse recruiting class at the end than we do now we should be good

Florida’s become very annoying when recruiting DL. Still time to swing things back in our favor in some other recruitments but that’s not ideal.

Going to have to get 2-3 DT’s in portal.

We needed 3-4 regardless.  Need a minimum of 4 from HS also.

Florida is the A&M of this cycle

I bet you a&m returns to their old tricks down the stretch after Saturday.  They are about flip a 5* WR from USC despite them being allergic to the art of the forward pass.

They will open the pocket books for Fasusi, Rogers, and others down the stretch and in the portal.

DL recruiting under Bo was an issue, first year under Baker not much better if Charles decides to jump. At some point, we’ve got to start landing elite DL or it’s really going to start to show, possibly as early as next year.

Dangers of getting these southeastern kids.  More pressure to stay at home.  Texas probably should prioritize in state kids like Chase Sims

This will not end up being a top 5 class unless we have multiple massive positive developments.

DT is dire.

As of now you only have January who was a true freshman this year. Sydir may transfer. Aaron Bryant hasn’t shown much at all. Melvin Hills redshirted. And if Charles does flip, you only have Sharma in this class.
