Keelon Russell

Featured Replies

Sark must have not felt very confident in flipping Keelon, or just really really likes Lacey that much, cause its hard to not wonder why we didn't go harder after Keelon with how insane his senior season has been and how much he has rose in the recruiting rankings. Hope we don't look back on it and wonder what the thought process was.

Assuming no major injuries, Manning will play at least two seasons, then Lacey and Bell can duke it out for the starting spot once Manning goes pro.Ā  Not worried about QB after this season as long as Sark is the HC.

Yeah the two seasons of Arch is why I'm not stressing it too much. I won't ever really stress QB recruiting under Sark.

We might see 3 years of Arch guys the family is different & doesn't want to rush Arch the to NFL

I'd be very shocked if Arch stays in college 5 years and stays for his redshirt senior season. Especially if he's a top 10 pick type player after his 2nd season starting, which he should be. I think 4 years was always the expectation.

Keelon Russell is a very good QB but he is in no way the #3 player in the country good.

What makes you say that?

His Uncle ā€œEā€ did at Ole Miss. E redshirt his freshman year was the backup for year then started for 3 years

Trust Sark enough said

There were bridges in the Lacy recruitment that Texas didn't want to burn. He has a chance to be a good player in his own right.

With the portal in play and Dia Bell committed in '26, you can easily absorb potential QB misses. I wouldn't lose sleep over the Russell recruitment.Ā

He had a down year as a Junior and needed to build his draft stock back up. If Arch plays like a top 10 pick as a redshirt Junior, I wouldn't count on him being back.

At least two years for Arch. The Mannings are different. They’ve proven thatĀ

Yeah, after he wins his 2nd Heisman you gotta think he'll give the NFL a long hard look ...

Are we really questioning sarks quarterback decision making? The audacity of you star chasing fans is crazy.Ā

Watching a QB throw 45 TDs to 0 INTs in 6A Texas football is not star chasing. Y’all are really dumb sometimes.

ā€œhow much he has rose in the recruiting rankingsā€œĀ

Dont worry your tiny little brain and let sark make the decision because he’s a hell of a lot better at it then your eye test EVER will be.Ā

Texas could have had Keelon, but passed on him prior to him committing to Alabama. They did not extend a 2nd QB offer and had no plans to take a 2 QB class. Gerry went into great detail about this earlier this year…Sark simply liked KJ Lacey more. KR certainly has all the measurables, make no mistake about it… but in Sark’s evaluation we TrustĀ

Ahh so you looked at a whole paragraph and focused on the only sentence you wanted to complain about. Even ignored the replies of me saying I trust Sark and wouldn’t ever worry about QBs under him. Or I guess you just didn’t see those huh? Again, idiot.

Because his evaluation and development of Ewers has been something no person should question.Ā

lol exactly. Like one of the highest rated prospects ever and in his 3rd year starting, he looks very average. They’ll ignore that tho.

This is a valid point. QE has been a disappointment in comparison to Expectations.
Ā

In comparison, KJ Lacey is mobile and has much better pocket presence and athleticism. He can also throw on the run because he’s had to run for his life this year…if that’s any consolation lol

So we should trust idiots like you and the OP? Never fails the dummies of a fan base always are the loudestĀ

My points simple. You don’t know anything so let sark cook.Ā
