Jaime Ffrench and Texas (Quote below)

Featured Replies

Steve Wiltfong says there’s buzz that ultimately he stays in state rather than signs with Texas, he said there’s optimism that we keep him but is this something we actually need to start getting more worried about? Obviously he’s 5* WR from Florida so for them to not recruit him through the whistle would be very stupid, but it’s a little concerning what Wiltfong said.

“There’s some buzz that ultimately it’s more likely he stays in the state than signs with Texas,” On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong said on Wednesday. “So you’ve got Miami, and you’ve got Florida battling for Ffrench.”

Added On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons: “I think there’s some confidence that Texas can keep him in this class. And they’ve been involved with him since the spring, getting his mom and dad on campus — Jamie as well. But Florida is not going away. They’re getting him on campus this weekend for an OV, a full weekend spent in Gainesville. Miami, he has been there numerous times. Kevin Beard and that staff is not going away.”

Bobby Burton and Hamilton have both said he's solid, but you never what is being offered behind closed doors.

Wide receiver and quarterback are two positions i won’t worry about under sark especially now with the portal. In saying that french is going to make a big mistake going to either of those schools unless it’s just about money.

Maybe the DK Moore nugget makes a bit more sense now?

Missed that. What was it?

Hopefully Florida puts them up in that lovely Motel 6 they used for the summer OV’s and they can enjoy watching LSU blow them out 😅

Saw that… Florida deploying their NIL money at the last minute.  Myron Charles also supposed to visit.

All Drew Rosenhaus clients.

Is this similar to the vote of confidence Del Conte gave Herman before he was later told to kick rocks?

Definitely not haha, I’m just not surprised anymore by the twist and turns of kids recruitments even if they say they’re solid for the longest time, I was just curious if they had felt it was just those two in-state schools recruiting till the last minute like they should be or something else.

Florida reputedly cannot afford to buy out Napier and hire a new coach and staff.  So .....

Fong article this morning reiterates Florida is a threat for him. “Staying closer to home is becoming a factor”

The Florida mods are saying they don't have much of a chance. Fong is trying to drum up clicks.

@Gerry Hamilton told us that Fong’s bosses need him to basically throw out hot takes in order to generate click bait. I’m not worried about Ffrench at all.

I'll try again. What was the Dakorian Moore update?

CJ had an article on Tuesday morning stating there was communication b/w Texas and Moore, but a flip is not likely at this point.
