Is a bird in the bush that will make the bird in hand leave worth it?

And then the bird in the bush transfers, now you lost both birds. Sark and his system has shown he doesn't need the highest rated recievers to make it work, all he needs is traits and everyone in the fold meets Sarks standards. Good luck DKM, lol who knows when I move to Oregon in a little I may get to watch him and Cook play🤣

  • Not to be a downer but DK Moore has turned down Texas twice.  He's a great prospect but I don't think he wants to be a Longhorn, and it seems that his family may be pushing it that way.  Those kinds o

  • I just got over July 4 yesterday and @CJ Vogeldoes this smh

  • I would say let this go…don’t piss off the kids that truly want to be at Texas. If you need that much convincing you don’t belong at UT.

This is how I have felt as well.  I would also add that prior to him picking Oregon over the summer, some people around Duncanville thought Ohio State was going to be his pick.  He never came out publicly in favor of Ohio State, but prior to his announcement, he had told a few people it was going to be Ohio State.

As much as I hate losing out on him, I am happy with the three that we have committed.  If Dakorien wants to be at Texas it’s a different story, but like you stated earlier, he has turned us down twice officially and three times unofficially.

Typical fan with emotional response.
It appears Texas is still persuading him.

We need to trust Sark

There's certainly a vacuum in the WR room after this year. Spots to grab for sure.

Freshman Ryan Williams would out shine him at Bama for sure . Kelly’s job getting a little shaky at LSU . Texas is most practical option. Get to catch balls from Arch .

Exactly why I now feel that he is looking for a reason not to come to Texas.  It would set up perfectly for him, but yet he still keeps looking at everyone else.  Ffrench even told people that one of the reason he liked Texas so much was because he would be catching passes from Arch Manning.  I don’t think DK cares who is throwing him the ball.  If he did, then I don’t feel LSU would still be getting visits or Oregon would have his commitment.

The main reason why DKM isn’t a horn hasn’t changed. So unless he changes his way of thinking, it’s a long shot. Similar to Fasusi, except Oregon isn’t a dumpster fire

Would this effect Ffrench or Lockett at all ?

I don't think him and Lockett get along.

I saw a video from on3 YouTube that Lockett dad said they are close friends so it’s weird hearing conflicting things sometimes lol

Probably safe to assume Colin Simmons is still in his ear too. Can’t hurt

Maybe I was wrong, I just thought I heard that (or something about not wanting to play together) on past live streams. Maybe they get along, just didn't want to play together. I just remember hearing that we would get 2/3 when we were leading with Moore and that Lockett would have been the odd man out.

I hope the kid knows that HALF that NIL package is going to Taxes if he goes to school up there 🤭  Most 18 year olds..what are taxes?!??? Where is the rest of my money?!??

Income over 250,000 has a tax of 21,000 and change plus 9.9% over 250,000

There was no culture issue prior to the Oregon commitment, DK just screwed up after his commitment to Oregon.

My comment wasn't about DK specifically, just against the "nOt A cUlTuRaL fIt" crowd.

He's saying that DK was a talent that we should have pursued regardless of how he would have fit culturally (not that DK was not a culture fit, he in fact seemed like a good fit).

There is currently a crowd of people, who, when we miss on a recruit we hear "well they're not a culture fit," and people have been saying that about DK. It's a bad-faith defense to a player not coming to Texas.

FYI, Kelvin Banks originally committed to Oklahoma State then Oregon and finally Texas.

Recruit through the whistle and TRUST Sark.

Maybe we can get his mother to do another thought-provoking interview with DK and post it on ON3 network to clear things up.  😂

Yep. Former five-star Dante Moore is QB2 and Austin Novosad, a really talented CenTex QB prospect is in waiting at QB3. They are more than fine at QB.

We’ll see on the field when it matters the most.

I know that we got Lockett because DK went to Oregon. I don't want to sacrifice Lockett for Moore later. Seems like a slap in the face to KL. DK had 2 opportunities to come on board and chose other schools twice. Generational talent but is it worth it to upset the other 5 stars in the class? I mean im down.. but are they?
