I personally just liked Madden's film a bit more; to me he seemed more naturally fit for the position, a true mike fit, and a smacker.

Yes which was also bad. His effort blocking has been awful and that's why he isn't playing 

If Johntay is sitting bc of that one drop, that’s pretty lame of sark.  Lots of other folks making mistake that keep playing.  Weird you would go from playing a lot to playing none.  Has to be something else, right?
