Colin Simmons

I've been browsing through player statistics. How about freshman Edge Colin Simmons?! He has racked up some impressive numbers. I'll let you be the judge. I'd like to see more of him! (Someone else mentioned him but I  couldn't find it. Credit to that person.)

He’s gonna get 8-10 sacks a year just on his explosiveness alone. He’s also playing the run fairly well this early on in his career. The more comfortable he gets, the more & more he will provide those splash plays. Those sacks start to turn into strip sacks.

If he can learn to hold the edge better in the run (contain the outside run) he could be your starter soon. He should be in the game on every passing down though.

Super talented room and Colin is one of the highest rated Freshmen in the country. He’s definitely seeing more and more playing time. I agree with @Realist Horn he’s still got some work to do. Needs to quit saying we’re going to dominate OU to the press too.

I was telling a buddy yesterday.  By the time he’s ready to go pro…. He may be in the same conversations with Dj & other greats.

The only downside to Simmons is that he will only be here for 3 years on the 40.
